The NCL General Class is designed for students who have been CNC operators or have had experience with other CAD or CAM products, who wish to become multi-axis programmers.
The course begins by introducing the NCL interface and simple geometric modeling commands and goes on to cover pocketing, profiling, drilling and four- & five-axis milling operations.
In this class, students will learn how to create and maintain postprocessors using PostWorks.
The class will guide students through the process of creating a multi-axis postprocessor.
Students will learn how to configure machines with rotary tables and heads, customize output files, and create postprocessor macros.
This class is a must for any company using PostWorks.
The class will provide students with the necessary skills to take full advantage of NCL/IPV for tool path verification and machine simulation.
Topics covered include: creation of stock models, verifying multiple setups, analyzing and measuring the cut part, performance issues, and machine modeling.
Students can attend the entire class or choose to attend either Day 1 for NC verification training only, or Day 2 for machine simulation training only.
The NCL Application Specific Class is offered to address specific applications for the use of NCL.
While the NCL General and Advanced classes will teach students how to use NCL for general machining applications,
especially structural aircraft components, it does not address the unique requirements of the applications listed below.
Attendance to an NCCS Application Specific Class must be pre-approved by NCCS at least 3 weeks in advance and can be reserved for a particular company.
